Our mission is to develop vaccines, immunobiologic reagents (antigens and antibodies), and diagnostic tests for prevention, control and elimination of Plasmodium vivax malaria.

Antigen Discovery

Based on immunological assays, our goal is to identify immunodominant antigens from P. vivax. 

In this context, our studies involve the generation of recombinant proteins and evaluation of humoral and cellular responses in patients with malaria to antigens that are vaccine candidates.

Vaccine Strategies

Candidate antigens in different vaccine formulations are being tested for immunogenicity and protection in animal models for P. vivax malaria.
